My focus as The Fairy Godmother is to deliver highly professional, outstanding and memorable ceremonies for all my clients. As part of my service, the below terms and conditions are in place to protect my clients by ensuring that there is a clear understanding of the expectations, by all parties.

Service Terms:

Bespoke Wedding Ceremony Script and/or Vows: Officiant agrees to write a custom wedding ceremony script and/or wedding vows for the Couple, provided that the Couple completes and returns the Couple’s Questionnaire at least 2 weeks before the wedding date. The Couple can request up to 2 script revisions. No revision requests will be accepted within 3 days of the ceremony.  

Deposit Requirement:

The Couple agrees to pay a deposit of the agreed amount . This deposit will be put toward the total owed and places a ‘hold’ on the Officiant’s services on the wedding date given herein. This deposit is non-refundable, with few exceptions (see Cancellation policies for more information).

This deposit must be paid prior to the requested period. If the payment is not made after this period, your booking will no longer be held or confirmed.

Payments must be made via Revolut or via Bank Transfer.Any other method is negotiable.

Remaining Balance:

The Couple agrees to pay the remaining prior to the ceremony.

Payments can be made by cash ,  Revolut or via Bank Transfer .Any other method is negotiable.

IMPORTANT: The Couple is responsible for providing any special materials they wish to use in the marriage ceremony, such as unity candles, unity sand, handfasting cords, wedding rings, etc.

* If the couple wishes differently, an additional fee will be added to the total.

It is the responsibility of the clients to seek and gain approval from their venue for unity ceremonies, for example unity candle ceremonies.

Bookings

Bookings are accepted in good faith, based on the information provided by the client, and are deemed to be accepted only when the deposit is paid and acknowledged in writing. No additional costs, or changes in costs, can be made after the contract is signed by both parties, unless the consumer wishes to add the provision of extra services to the contract. reserves the right to increase the fee payable due to altered instructions of engagement, e.g. time at the event being extended or the venue changed. In this case a revised or additional contract should be created.

Change Policy

If the couple cancels or requests a date/time/location change:

Changes to a Couple’s wedding date, ceremony start time, or location (outside of Chania town, Greece ) will only be accommodated as the Celebrant’s availability allows. If the ceremony cannot be satisfactorily rescheduled, cancellation guidelines will apply. Deposits are non-refundable except in extreme circumstances, such as severe weather (see below) or when the party to the marriage must be hospitalized for severe illness/injury before the ceremony can occur.

If the celebrant cancels:

If the officiant cannot perform the tasks and responsibilities for the upcoming wedding ceremony for valid reasons (hospitalization, accident, transportation issue), the officiant must notify the client immediately and needs to find a replacement licensed wedding coordinator. If no substitute is available, then a full refund will be processed.

Force Majeure

Ceremonies that must be cancelled due to extreme weather or unsafe conditions affecting the venue and surrounding areas, such as tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, fire, or severe heat/cold, are fully refundable (including the deposit) and can be rescheduled with the Celebrant based on availability.

Injury or Loss

The officiant will not be responsible for any injury, damages, or loss caused by the client or guests. The officiant will also not be liable for any loss during the event.

Indemnification

The client agrees to defend and hold harmless the officiant and its employees for any injury, liability, damage to property, or claims to the actions of the client.

Legalities

The ceremonies that The Fairy Godmother Celebrant provides are not legal but symbolic. She is able to provide you with information about legal civil weddings. If the couple requires the ceremony to be legally recognised, then will be guided from the Registration Service.

Travel

Travel expenses will be added to the ceremony cost and can be estimated if there is a confirmed date. If the distance means an overnight stay then she will ask for the cost of a basic hotel room. In the case of air travel or accommodation costs, this will only be refunded if refundable options were selected when booking. In the case of non-refundable options, these unfortunately cannot be refunded.

Amendments

The Fairy Godmother Celebrant reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.

Privacy and Confidentiality

The Fairy Godmother Celebrant recognises the importance of ensuring that personal information held is treated confidentially and is committed to ensuring that all personal information is only collected, disclosed, used and stored in accordance with the GDPR Regulation (EU) 2016/679 according to the European standards.

Below states the details of the Privacy and Confidentiality policy:

- Only personally identifiable information required for purposes relevant to the ceremony will be collected.

- Your information will not be passed on to a third party.

- Your feedback and photographs will only be used in promotional materials with your consent.

- You reserve the right to check the accuracy of your personal information as retained on my records, and to have any necessary amendments made at your request.
